Good example of overlay moose tracks

I saw what I believe to be the track of an adult moose in my backyard. The prints were left in the snow.

However, each print was approximately six (6) feet apart. Does the back leg of a moose track in alignment with the front leg and could a span of six (6) feet be possible. I live in Western MA, so moose are in the area but sightings are somewhat rare.

Hi Laurie, for certain you likely saw tracks from a moose in your yard.

A moose stride will vary depending on the speed they are traveling and the tracks do tend to land on top of one another as you described.
