Tikka T3 Lite .308 Cal
Choose a caliber you can handle, preferably one with readily available and varied cartridges. I like the .308 Winchester, but the 30-06 and the.270 are equally competent.
Shoot all copper bullets, in 150, 168 or 180 grains. I use the Barnes TTSX in 168 gr.
Shooting on the range with a rest and unlimited time to aim is hugely different from the actual hunting situation!
Visibility, weather, nerves, shaky rest, etc.
So yes, do use a shooting table with a good rest to sight your scope, but once this is done, PRACTICE in various positions and stances, mimicking real life situations.
Make sure! Please!
