Everyone loves this Moose Recipe. I can't help but notice that when I serve this recipe to my guests, they gobble it up ;-)
You could always substitute lean ground beef if you don't have access to Moose Meat.
This is my Moose Chili Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 pound moose ground meat
1 diced cooking onion
4 or 5 cloves of garlic
1 red pepper, diced
3 stalks of celery, chopped finely
1 can of pork and beans
1 can of kidney beans
1/2 cup of chili sauce
2 teaspoon's cumin
2 teaspoon's chili powder
Brown all vegetables and moose meat in olive oil. Transfer the ingredient's from the fry pan to a slow cooker. Add the last ingredients and stir to mix together. Cook on high for 4 or 5 hour's. I like to taste after about 3 hours of cooking and adjust spices if needed. The secret is the long cooking time.
