This pic was taken by me in a field off the gravel street I lived on not far from Kachemak Bay outside of Homer, Alaska In 2014. It appeared to me that this could have been the first time this little one stood up underneath the protection of Mama Moose. It was a rare treat to be able to get this close to Mom and baby. She was cautious...but allowed a quick pic for our enjoyment.
Awe, so darned cute!
